Content that talks about products usually ends up with copied names, prices and links that drift out of date. The BigCommerce app lets editors pick the product from your store instead of retyping it, so the page points at the real product.

What you can do

• BigCommerce Product field: a custom field you can add to any content or component model.
• Product selector: editors choose a product from your BigCommerce store in a modal.
• Product info with the content: the product information is saved on the Agility content item as JSON.
• Minimal permissions: the API account needs read-only access to store information and products, plus storefront API token management.

Who it's for

Merchandising and content teams who build landing pages, guides and campaigns around BigCommerce products, and developers who'd rather read a product reference than maintain a copy. It's for picking products, not running checkout.

You'll need a BigCommerce API account and your store hash. The docs cover both.

Get started

1. Create a BigCommerce API account In BigCommerce, go to Settings → Store Level API Accounts and create an API account.
2. Set the scopes Choose read-only for Information & settings and Products, and manage for Storefront API tokens.
3. Install the app Open Settings → Apps in Agility, install BigCommerce and enter the Access Token and Store Hash.
4. Add the field Add the BigCommerce Product field to a content or component model.
5. Use the product data Parse the JSON field value in your front end to render the product.
