Agility CMS: April 2025 Update
Making content management easier than ever.

In the February 2025 release of Agility CMS, we introduced Draggable Visual Comments inside Web Studio. Users can drag comments to the exact spot they’re referring to on a page, thus boosting efficiency and productivity.
The April 2025 update continues the trend of enhancing communications within the platform. Here are the key updates you need to know.
Marquee Notifications
Nothing attracts attention like a message on a marquee. You see it. You read it. You can’t miss it.
We’ve taken the same approach with Agility CMS.
Introducing Marquee Notifications. Whenever you’re working inside Agility, if you’re tagged in a comment, or if a reply appears in a thread, a marquee displays at the top of the page. It drops down, shows you the comment, and lets you go directly to that comment if you wish.
Here, let Lead Frontend Developer Derek Lo show you Marquee Notifications in action:
Here’s how Marquee Notifications make life easier for developers and content teams inside Agility CMS:
- Never miss a notification: No matter where you are inside the platform, the marquee appears to let you know a comment is awaiting your attention.
- Better workflows: Take control of how things get done. Action the comment immediately or do it later. That’s because the comment on the marquee is saved, so you can always refer to it.
- Visual and audio notifications: In addition to the marquee, a notification sound also plays. It’s a perfect complement to the visual notification and it can be turned off if the user chooses.

- SDK warning: To use the marquee feature inside Web Studio, an SDK must be connected. If it isn’t, a marquee will appear with a link directly to Web Studio Docs with helpful, easy-to-follow instructions.
Favourites
Communication isn’t the only thing we’ve improved. It’s now easier to navigate your Agility workspace.
One of the many great things about Agility CMS is how elements can be used repeatedly. Now, with Favourites, it’s even easier to find the items you frequently rely on.
Once again, Agility CMS Lead Frontend Developer Derek Lo has the details:
Just like in your browser, you can favourite the following items
- Content Lists
- Content Items
- Pages (either inside or outside of Web Studio)
- Content Models
- Component Models
- Page Models
What Do All These Terms Mean? |
Once favourited, the items appear when you hover over your Favourites Menu. Drag and sort them in any order you wish for maximum convenience and control. Click a favourite and you’re instantly taken there so you can get to work faster.
