Glossary
Glossary: a component model defines the fields of a type of component that editors add to pages. Each one needs matching code in your site.
A component model defines a type of component: its fields and settings. It is like a content model, except that it represents a functional UI component that editors add to pages. Developers create component models in Models > Component Models.
Each component model needs corresponding code in your site that renders it. If no component models are defined, editors have nothing to add to a page.
Formerly: Page Module, module definition.
