Announcing Support for ASP.Net Core in Agility

The world of .Net development has been an exciting place to play in lately!

What with the Microsoft's purchase of GitHub, their closer relationship to the Open Source community, and the rapid expansion of the Azure platform for DevOps, there's lots to talk about.

One of the most significant areas of development for .Net is in the ASP.Net Core offering.  Take a look at a few of the areas where Microsoft are recommending folks choose ASP.Net Core over the legacy framework:

  • Cross-platform needs
  • Microservices
  • Docker Containers
  • High performance and scalable systems

Looking at that list leads me to this conclusion:  unless you have a reason NOT to choose .Net Core, you need to be at least considering it for new projects.

Today, we are announcing the public preview of AgilityWebCore - the Agility.Web assembly retooled and improved for targetting ASP.Net Core!

Here are a few of the benefits that targetting ASP.Net Core for Agility sites:

  • Easily host your Agility website on Linux in a Docker  container.
  • Use your favourite Javascript framework, such as React ,  Angular  or Vue  and take advantage of Server-Side-Rendering.
  • Boost the performance of your site out-of-the-box by as much as 200%, especially for complex sites.

This is big news for our customers and partners who want to continue to grow their business with a stable, reliable toolset.  We were able to take our standard Agility.Web SDK and bring all the same features into Agility.Web for .Net Core.
