Agility CMS New UI

What's changed, how will it affect you, and when will it launch?

There's been some chatter about our UI. While most of our reviewers in G2 say they love how easy it is to manage and publish content in Agility CMS, our UI is in need of a facelift! So I sat down with David Babijaev, Product Designer at Agility CMS.

The first Beta version of the new UI, Plenum, will be available in October. Users will have at least 6 months to switch between Plenum and the current UI.

More modern. More accessible.

It's a FRESH start.

We followed the design thinking process to create the best user experience possible and reflected on our users' core problems to ideate the best user experience solutions.

Our senior team in design, sales, development, and lines of business created prototypes and tested them in the real world with select users and partners to gather feedback. We are now ready to finetune our prototypes based on all of your input!

Keeping an eye on our users

A good user interface isn’t just for aesthetics.

Other factors like usability, accessibility, and findability are also critical for an effective and powerful Content Management System (CMS).

"While we are an enterprise-grade platform, we understand that content editors and developers also use our platform daily, and we need to design with them in mind for their ease of use." - David Babijaev, Product Designer, Agility CMS.

Creating a BRAND NEW design system

We created a new design system that allows us to offer a systematic, predictable user experience, along with our robust UI library. The design system also serves us as a way of interacting with the product and quickly changing separate components to address user feedback.

Improving Accessibility

We’ve revamped Agility CMS with accessibility as top of mind. Our new UI complies with every accessibility best practice. This includes improving the colour contrast for visually impaired users.

With improved accessibility across the board, we aim to become an inclusive platform that offers our users an equally productive and enjoyable experience for all.

When will the new UI be live?

October!
