# Sitemap

A **sitemap** is the blueprint of a website's architecture: its pages, their hierarchy and their URLs. In most cases a sitemap represents one website, but it can be any content destination, such as an app or digital signage. You manage sitemaps and their pages in the **Pages** section.

An instance can have one sitemap or several. Each has its own pages, domains and deployments, while all of them share the instance's models, components and content.

**Also called:** page tree. In the APIs, a sitemap is a channel.
