# Page Model

A **page model** represents the structure of a page. It is made up of one or more named zones where editors add, remove and rearrange components. For example, a simple model might have one main content zone, while a two-column model has a main zone and a sidebar zone.

When editors create a page, they choose from the page models developers have defined. Your site needs code that renders each page model.
