# Work Faster in Agility

> Source: https://agilitycms.com/docs/editors/work-faster-in-agility

Agility has a handful of small features that save time every day but are easy to miss. This page covers where each one helps and how to use it:

- [Favorites](#favorite-the-items-you-use-most) for the items you open most
- [Next and previous item](#move-to-the-next-or-previous-content-item) for working through a list
- [Search in the page picker](#search-for-a-page-when-you-pick-one) for finding a page in a large sitemap
- [The sync status indicator](#check-the-sync-status) for checking whether a sync went through
- [Report exports](#export-the-recent-changes-and-ready-to-publish-reports) and the [Access Report](#review-access-with-the-access-report)
- [Pasting from Word and editing images in rich text](#paste-from-word-and-edit-images-in-rich-text)

## Favorite the items you use most

If you open the same content, pages or models again and again, mark them as favorites. You can favorite content items, pages, models and more, then get back to them from your favorites instead of browsing to them each time.

Favorites are a good fit for:

- A content list you add to every week, such as blog posts or news.
- The handful of pages you update most, such as the home page or a campaign landing page.
- The models you're working on during a build.

## Move to the next or previous content item

When you're working through a list, for example reviewing every post before a launch or updating a field on each item, you don't need to go back to the list after each one. From inside a content item, you can go straight to the next or previous item.

This is the quickest way to check or edit a run of items one after another.

## Search for a page when you pick one

The **Select a Page** dialog has a search box. You'll see this dialog when you:

- Choose a page in a link field.
- Copy a page.
- Copy a component.

Type in the search box to find the page you want. The search covers your whole sitemap, including sections that are collapsed in the tree, so you don't have to expand each branch to find a page that sits deep in the site.

## Check the sync status

The header shows a sync status indicator. It covers both live syncs and preview syncs, and it shows when a preview sync has failed. (Before September 2026 it only tracked live syncs.)

If a change you saved isn't showing up where you expect, look at the sync status indicator first. A failed sync is something to pass on to your developer, together with roughly when it happened.

## Export the Recent Changes and Ready to Publish reports

You can export the **Recent Changes** and **Ready to Publish** reports. This is useful when you need to share the list with someone who doesn't work in Agility, keep a record of what changed, or plan a release in a spreadsheet.

1. Open **Reports**.
2. Open **Recent Changes** or **Ready to Publish**.
3. Filter the report if you need to, then use the report's export option.

For what each report shows and how to filter it, see [Accessing Reports](/docs/owners-admins/accessing-reports).

## Review access with the Access Report

**Reports** also include an **Access Report**, which you can filter. The filter works whether or not your organization has set up teams.

For how users, roles and teams are set up, see [Teams](/docs/owners-admins/teams).

## Paste from Word and edit images in rich text

The rich text editor has two features that save a round trip to other tools:

- **Paste from Word.** Copy content from Microsoft Word and paste it into a rich text field. The editor keeps the formatting, so you don't have to rebuild headings, lists and emphasis by hand.
- **Edit images in the editor.** You can edit an image you've placed in a rich text field without leaving the editor.

For everything else the rich text editor does, see [Rich Text Editor](/docs/editors/rich-text-editor).

## Smaller time savers in the 2026 interface

The 2026 interface updates added a few smaller conveniences:

- **Dialogs are ready to type in.** When a dialog opens, the cursor is already in its first field.
- **Save tells you when there's something to save.** In the side panels for content items, content lists, pages and models, the **Save** button stays disabled until you change something.
